An Independent and Traditional Family Funeral Director
After a burial, the flowers are usually placed on the grave and they remain there for approximately two weeks. Following a cremation any floral tributes are usually arranged in a floral court at the Crematorium where they can be viewed during the following 48 hours, after which they are promptly disposed of.
If the floral tributes are to be kept, then we advise that a family member arranges to collect the flowers as soon as possible after viewing at the Crematorium has been completed.
If there is a local grave where the ashes are to be buried, then we can arrange for the main floral tributes to be placed on it the day following the cremation.
We are sometimes asked to deliver flowers to a Hospital or Nursing Home, but unfortunately they are not usually wanted at these places, and if they are prepared to accept them, we would have to charge for this extra service.
As an additional service, we can arrange for the printing of appropriately worded acknowledgement cards or letters to thank those who have sent floral tributes, donations or messages of sympathy.
Similarly, we can insert and help with the wording of a 'Thanks Notice' in a local newspaper. This also provides an opportunity to thank, with a general announcement, the people who cared for the deceased throughout their illness, and those who have provided help and assistance to the family after the death.
